The National Governing Body for the Sustainable African Forest Assurance Scheme (SAFAS) in the role of the Standard development body for the revision of the SAFAS standard, announces the working group members.
SAFAS 4 2018 : The SAFAS Forest Management Standard
This standard is part of the South African Forestry Assurance Scheme (SAFAS) and sets out the criteria for forest certification. It was a goal of SAFAS to develop a standard that could be used to measure responsible plantation forestry in South Africa and to ensure that the requirement absolutely reflect sound forestry practice.
PEFC ST 2002-2020 : The PEFC Chain of Custody Standard
The PEFC Council provides mutual recognition of national forest certification schemes and defines an international chain of custody standard (PEFC ST 2002:2020) and rules for the usage of the PEFC Logo (PEFC ST 2001:2008).
